Imagine that you're a young parent with a crying baby. You are struggling with no financial resources other than limited and embarassing governmental assistance. You feel alone, with few friends who understand, and little or no support.
Your food stamps cannot be used for diapers, let alone for those much needed wipes and baby powder for a rash that has begun to creep down your child's legs. Shampoo, soap and toilet paper have long since run out, and you shake your head at that last diaper, wondering if there is some way under heaven to make it last through the night.
Your baby's cries grow louder. She is wet, and you pace about your tiny apartment feeling increasingly frantic and frustrated ... with no place to turn.
Who will help?
Haven's Hope Diaper Ministry is a unique community service program that brings together under-resourced families with compassionate volunteers. Our MISSION STATEMENT reads:
"Haven's Hope demonstrates the love of Christ to the world by ministering to the needs of vulnerable families with young children through the building of relationships and the distribution of diapers in order to strengthen the entire family and empower them in every aspect of their lives."

Within only a few years, the Haven's Hope diaper ministry has expanded from its humble beginings at Harvest Christian Community to regular distributions at numerous sites accounting for the placement of over 17,000 diapers per month! A growing list of partner churches from diverse denominations, as well as multiple social agencies and dedicated volunteers, all work together to make an enormous difference in the lives of hundreds of Denver-area families.
Haven's Hope provides life-giving resources for "at risk" families through monthly distributions that are staffed entirely by volunteers. Personal stories, joys, challenges and other needs are shared. Breakfast and childcare are provided, enhancing the possibility for rich moments as mentors build relationships and make themselves available for for material, emotional, and spiritual support.
